So we have solved our background issue...kinda
our group "with the help of our Bulgarian friend ; P", discover photo merge in photoshop which allowed our to combine 12 bad images to make one complete one. So, we used this image and were cutting it our, color correcting it and putting it on a background so that across browsers our background image doesn't repeat or look funny
yay team work

with all of these background images i have been seeing, it would be interesting if you could actually USE ALL of them! as in like, use a different one for each page. they all have the same feel, and i really do like them all. plus, it would sort of suggest to the user the variety of the dishes/plates they offer. plus all that food would make anyone hungry after visiting that site lol! just something to think about. :D
ReplyDeleteLooks like you guys are on the right track. Sounds like it was tough to get the background image figured out. I had some issues figuring out my patterns that had to align seamlessly when they are tiled. The web can be so testy. haha
ReplyDeleteThe images look great. Make me want to eat there. The colors are inviting and appetizing. Overall, the way your guys are going is great. I think the text for the links is starting to look a lot better than they did in your proposal. Nice work.
yes this looks much better with combining the two ideas and making a larger space so the content isnt as crowded any more. I also am pretty sure that I can see some flour or something which is going to make the content in the square pop out more. Everything is looking great.
ReplyDeleteooo that is a nice trick! I think the image is very strong and works nicely. The spoon is a nice touch because it adds interest. :)
ReplyDeleteOkay! So after looking at the pictures on both you and Josh's (and Angelica's) blogs, I have decided something! I really love the pictures from your last post, and I missed your voting, BUT I feel like the counter space in the background (both the wooden counter and the granite counter) really give the image a finished and stylish look. I noticed you guys were doing something with cutting out the veggies and it's currently on white (Josh and Angelica's blogs), maybe if you incorporated one of the surfaces from your other pictures to ground it some?
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, I know photoshop quite well, but alex surprised me with his knowledge of photo merge. Also, that is a sweet idea, and I really like this image.
ReplyDeletewhoaaa..... I didn’t know anything about photo merge!! I LOVE IT! Ummm.... we should have known about this feature before. I saw on Josh’s blog the change of the background and I was so impressed. It feels so professional. You will have to show me how to use the photo merge feature though.. I tried it once I read your blog and it confused me. Great job though! I love where your site is going.
