we are trying to work out the flow of our site, the biggest problem we might run into is the iframes acting up in window's web browsers; so we are still doing some research and testing on that. The biggest thing that is holding us back in the production of the site is the owner. He hasn't been able to pass on the cd of images yet thus we are not sure what we have to work with. We might have some awesome shots that will serve as a great background or we will have some bad shots that require us to go to the show and take photos ourselves.
... until next time

passing out jobs...
Design team-
Project manager: Christie
Information Architect: Josh
Assets Manager: Angelica
Job reasonability’s:
Project manager- Christie will be responsible for communicating with both Phil and the Client. She is also responsible for all of the “write ups”, such as the creative brief and double-checking the assets list. The project manager will also assist in the coding, planning out the design of the site, and mapping out the site diagram. Lastly the project manager will make sure jobs are passed out evenly/fairly and maintain a deadline schedule making sure everything gets done.
Information architect- Josh will be our coding mastermind! He will be collecting all the information and using the assets to put together this site. He will also be responsible for making the site across browser compatible, including a 404 page. He is also responsible for the site diagram and site navigation.
Assets Manager- Angelica is mainly responsible for the material that will be going into the website such as the text/ and menus, and most importantly the images. The main reason the current site isn’t attractive because of the uses of the images, thus making the assets manager very important.
I think we have a great group we all gave a variety of strengths and we'll get a lot done. Next step is to create our creative brief and site diagram figuring out the navigation to match what the client wants.
good luck to all of my classmates in finding clients ; )

starting ideas
so i really wish i could redo their logo but seeing as its on their menu and biz card we have to keep it....but who says we cant try to vector it better for the web site.
So the plan is that when we have to use it on the site we wither vector better grapes and vines or bc the client has promised a cd of images we can photograph some grape bundles and incorporate them that way, who knows... for now were doing research looking at restaurants that are popular like olive garden and macaroni grill and seeing what they do that successful and how they accomplished their rustic style as inspiration
as for the layout were thinking the site will be 5 pages: menu, catering menu, contact, experience/stories, and a 404pg

NEW PROJECT- site redesign
Site Redesign is our final at school and we chose a local Italian restaurant in down town St Pete called Moscatos Bella Cucina. the curent site was made by the owners wife by placing images and text into a template http://www.moscatosbellacucina.com/
The client wants to show off three things:
1. his menu
2. their huge catering menu
3. and a section/page dedicated to their reviews and experience
there looking to attract local and keep the Italian rustic theme with their grape on a vine logo. The client also has stated that he has a cd full of images of his food and kitchen so hopefully we can use these to redesign the look and feel of the current site ; )
check them out on 230 4th st n st pete 33701
oh ya and my awesome team members are josh and angelica

Finnaly posted my website for angela but noth without a fight!
So, Light box wasn't that hard and i created separate files for the descriptions as i posed earlier but i was still having some issues with some image background movement across browsers....well good new i trouble shooted with some classmates until Phil pointed out i forgot to close a div or i didn't realize that my background image size was typed in wrong. Its funny how after hours of coding you can finish the complicated things and its a silly little error throws you off.
Other good new was that yes all my pages were validated but i has some warnings that Josh showed me how to clear up. So now all of my pages are completely passed ; )
One of my last issues that was worked out was that my 404 page wasn't linking to my css for some odd reason when all my coding looked correct... so what did i do? I put it through the w3Validator to find that you cant start a div id with a number. Silly me. So after this id change everything was golden. I hit some bumps trying to upload my page but with some help from some classmates my fingers crossed it worked.

Alot of progress!
Hey everyone, so I got the iframe's to work and Phil even helped me understand it enough that I was able to help a classmate, Yay Cristina! Anyway my site is coming together Im just waiting on a little bit more content. my next step is to figure out light a light box in order to include a description on each work without cluttering the page. The idea is that the work will be scrollable and if you wanted to know more you would just need to click on the image and a light box will give you the description. I also want to thank all my classmates that have been helping me, because I know i always have a million questions ; ).
